Mullari
Tanel Mullari, PhD
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Tanel Mullari was born in 1964. He received his MSc and PhD degrees in theoretical physics from Taru University and had the postdoc-study in University of Linz, Austria. He worked as a researcher in the Institute of Cybernetics from 2000 to 2015. At present he holds the positions of Associate Professor at Tallinn University of Technology. His main research interests lie in domains of special relativity and of nonlinear control theory.


Nurges
Ülo Nurges, PhD
SENIOR RESEARCHER
Ülo Nurges was born in 1939. He received his MSc degree in control engineering from Tallinn University of Technology and PhD degree in computer and systems from Estonian Academy of Sciences. His main research interests lie in the domain of linear control systems and especially in robust control theory.


Tonso
Maris Tõnso, PhD
SENIOR RESEARCHER
Maris Tõnso was born in Estonia in 1971. She received her PhD degree in informatics and system engineering from Tallinn University of Technology in 2010. Her research interests focus on the application of polynomial methods and differential geometry to nonlinear control problems. She has been the main developer of the Mathematica package NLControl, developed in the IoC and devoted to modeling, analysis and synthesis problems of nonlinear control systems.


Vain
Jüri Vain, PhD
SENIOR RESEARCHER
Jüri Vain received his BSc degree in system engineering from the Tallinn Polytechnic Institute and PhD degree from the Institute of Cybernetics at the Estonian Academy of Sciences, in 1979 and 1987, respectively. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Tallinn University of Technology and he also holds a position of Senior Researcher in the Institute of Cybernetics. His research interests include embedded systems, modeling of discrete-event and hybrid dynamic systems, formal verification in system design, and fault-tolerance.
